A global freight forwarder who specializes in both ocean and air cargo is looking for a team leader position to fill out. This position is for an international export team, so previous ocean and air international logistics coordination experience is MUST HAVE. (Not negotiable).

You will have three associates to supervise and directly report to both general manager and assistant operation director in the office.

 

We are expecting to have some overtime for this position as well since you will be in charge of closing cases.

 

You will have 3 months probation period. You will receive benefits after completing the term successfully.

 

Responsibility for Team Lead (Export Logistics Coordinator Specialist):

  • Oversee daily operations and continuously improve workflow and procedures to support customer objectives and overall client satisfaction
  • Monitor all aspects of the logistics process, including container deliveries, transloading, bookings, Bills of Lading, and invoicing
  • Coordinate with suppliers, ocean carriers, air carriers, transloading facilities, and overseas customers to ensure accurate and timely execution of shipments
  • Closely track shipments to meet carrier cut-off dates, ensuring cargo is loaded on the intended vessel
  • Prepare, review, and communicate Bills of Lading instructions with shipping lines
  • Prepare and process export documentation including Bills of Landing, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, and related documents
  • Ensure export documentation is issued accurately and on time in accordance with sales agreements and letters of credit
  • Maintain accurate shipment data in order management systems and update changes as required
  • Monitor and support team members
  • Train new hires
  • Input data into internal KPI reporting systems to monitor supplier and carrier performance
  • Manage cargo flow to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly volume commitments and allocation requirements
  • Other duties are assigned

 

 

Qualifications & Experience for Team Lead (Export Logistics Coordinator Specialist):

  • Minimum four years of experience in international freight forwarding, preferably within both air and marine transportation
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration, other related study fields
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient typing skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and development
  • Is able to work on site on weekdays and handle overtime
