Intern - Quality (Mechanical Engineer)

Assist the Quality team with inspection of raw materials and finished goods, maintaining records of the inspections and quality audits in our HVAC products manufacturing facility. The Quality Intern will be given the opportunity to complete a project of their own and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn how to initiate and manage a project, develop a Bill of Materials (BOM) and execute cross-departmental collaboration.
• Build HVAC duct systems to SMACNA requirements for testing.
• Create documentation to support Quality projects.
• Assist experienced testing engineers in designing, testing and reporting.
• Participate in workshops and trainings targeted to increase your skills.

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

• A student actively seeking a post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Ability to commute to our Monongahela, PA – this is a fully onsite role.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferred.
• Familiarity with FEAs a plus.
• Experience in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with a team using strong communication skills.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend in a lab setting. Will need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools safely is required.
