Intern Project Management- Prism Electric

Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a higher education institution as a sophomore, junior or senior.
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be highly motivated and eager to learn.
  • Exemplary written and verbal skills.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Available to work 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings using Bluebeam software.
  • Assist Project Manager with submission of RFI's and associated logs. 
  • Assist with the change order process including takeoffs and submittals.
  • Understanding the scope of work and the use of change orders.
  • Draft purchase orders and track associated vendor billing.
  • Reviewing project costs weekly.
  • Solicit vendor and contractor proposals.
  • Learn and understand how to properly interpret contracts, subcontracts, and associated documents.
  • Represent the project team in client meetings effectively.
  • Assist with coordination between General Contractor, operation team and the field.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to project team & superiors.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
