As an AI Research Scientist Intern, you'll join a global team exploring new ideas at the intersection of machine learning, computer architecture, and scalable compute.
Whatyou could be doing as an AI Research Scientist Intern?
You will work on projects that advance the fundamentals of machine learning and systems research. Focus areas may include:
* Scalable and Distributed ML: Training, inference, and deployment methods for large models across diverse and distributed compute environments.
* Efficient, Sustainable, and Optimized AI: Techniques to improve performance, efficiency, and scalability through algorithmic, representational, and system-level innovations.
* Generative, Multimodal, and Integrated Learning: Modern generative methods and models that combine multiple data sources for richer understanding, representation, and synthesis.
* Autonomous, Adaptive, and Embodied Intelligence: Learning-based approaches for perception, planning, reasoning, and interaction in complex, dynamic, or real-world environments.
We are looking for individuals who:
Are currently enrolled and studying towards a PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
* Background in machine learning, computer science, or electrical/computer engineering, with experience designing, training, or analyzing ML models using frameworks like PyTorch or Hugging Face.
* Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages, with interest in research and long-term innovation.
* Engagement in the ML community through open-source contributions, research projects, or peer-reviewed publications.

This is a non-exempt hourly role which will be paid at an hourly rate based on the number of hours worked. Pay rates vary by location and educational level.
