Interim Consolidations Manager

Our client, a next?generation computing company, is seeking an Interim Consolidations Senior Accountant or Manager to support its global finance organization. 

The position is hybrid in Santa Clara, CA (preferred); however, remote candidates working PST hours will also be considered. This engagement has an expected duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual global consolidation process
  • Prepare and review intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and consolidation entries
  • Perform foreign currency translation and related adjustments
  • Record and review consolidation and top?side journal entries
  • Conduct detailed flux analysis for period?over?period variances
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial statements
  • Operate effectively in a highly manual, Excel?driven consolidation environment
  • Act as backup owner for employee reimbursement processing
  • Support proper expense classification and compliance with policies
  • Improve month?end and quarter?end close processes and strengthen consolidation controls
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and international teams on reporting accuracy
  • Support technical accounting matters related to consolidation
  • Assist in preparing consolidated financial statement footnotes
  • Support external audit requests and contribute to IPO readiness initiatives
  • Participate in system evaluations and process improvement projects

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience with direct consolidation ownership
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidated financial reporting
  • Proven experience with multi?entity, multinational consolidations and FX translation
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; ERP experience (SAP or similar) preferred
