Responsibilities:
- A Junior Business Analyst typically assists in analyzing and documenting business processes and requirements for projects within an organization.
- Assisting in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyzing and documenting current business processes and workflows.
- Assisting in the development of functional and technical specifications.
- Participating in meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
- Assisting in the identification and documentation of project risks and issues.
- Supporting the development and testing of new systems or enhancements.
- Assisting in the preparation of training materials and user documentation.
- Providing support to users during system implementation and post-implementation.
- A Junior Business Analyst should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- They should be detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Premier Customer Experience and Communication Skills:
- Receive and answer customer telephone inquiries
- Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with developers and individual customers, ensuring a Premier Customer Experience throughout the process.
- Process-focused, Time Management and Attention to Detail: Efficiently and accurately process customer and developer applications for interconnection.
- Understanding of Basic Electrical Concepts and Renewable Energy: Grasp fundamental electrical concepts (e.g., voltage, current, power, energy) and renewable energy principles
- Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database,
- Presentation, and e-mail software and the Internet portal to perform work functions
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience; or in lieu of a degree, must have minimum of 3-6 years of relevant business experience.
- Customer service experience (preferably in a call center environment)
- Speak with customers regarding questions with the application process or status
- Process DER Interconnection applications
- Assist in drafting and updating program documentation, such as job aids
- Support other tasks as needed
- The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn a lot of information in a short amount of time, in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should be willing to ask questions as they are learning.
- The ability to speak with external customers and internal stakeholders is key.
- Candidate should be willing to help others on the team when we need to divide and conquer to get the interconnection applications and other tasks completed.
