Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Integration and Middleware Developer to connect and optimize a variety of systems, applications, and technologies. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless technical integration for best-in-class performance and act as a continuous improvement agent to enhance technical integrations and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Connect various systems, including SAP S/4HANA, Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM), Microsoft Dynamics 365, cloud telephony, IVR, web portals, mobile apps, middleware systems, and more.
- Analyze solution components and their integration models.
- Assess integration options for high-volume processing and apply best practices for leveraging on-demand open APIs.
- Identify opportunities to reduce data replication and integration needs.
- Lead the development and implementation of complex solutions meeting project requirements, leveraging SAP, CRM, Azure cloud services, and IVR technologies.
- Design and implement robust integrations between various systems and external systems such as payment gateways and traffic management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Stay updated with .Net, GoLang best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
- Optimize transaction processing speed, latency, and reliability, and monitor system performance.
- Build middleware workflows for cloud telephony, IVR systems, web portals, and mobile applications.
- Apply encryption and data protection strategies for sensitive customer and payment data.
- Implement observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Fully document all work, including technical and functional designs, test plans, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
- Work independently to accomplish assigned tasks and duties.
- Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- 8 years in integration/middleware development with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- 7 years of experience in backend development using .Net.
- 5 years of experience in backend development using Python.
- 3 years of experience in backend development using GoLang.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and decentralized microservices architecture.
- Experience with at least 2 implementation projects using decentralized event-based microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization in Go and .Net.
- Strong background using development tools like Podman and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft government and commercial cloud platforms (Azure), including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
Preferred Skills
- 10 years of expertise in developing complex systems integrations for high-volume organizations within SAP, MS Dynamics 365 CRM solutions, and Microsoft Azure Cloud hosting solutions.
- Hands-on experience with IVR systems design, development, and optimization, preferably in tolling or similar customer-facing environments.
- Experience integrating with SAP BRIM for subscription billing.
- Experience in retail POS/eCommerce integrations and CRM systems for customer service.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Event Hub).
- Advanced certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or integration platforms are highly desirable.
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Location and Schedule
The position is virtual/remote with periodic on-site requirements in Middletown, PA. Candidates located within the Continental United States are preferred. On-site attendance is required for orientation and scheduled meetings.
