Insurance Licensing Specialist (Health Focus)
Location: Frisco, TX | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
• $23–$25 per hour (BOE)
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• W2 position
Role Impact
• Independently manage the full lifecycle of health insurance producer licensing and carrier appointments
• Ensure agents remain compliant, appointment-ready, and audit-prepared at all times
• Maintain zero preventable licensing lapses and accurate, audit-ready records
Key Responsibilities
• Process resident and non-resident health insurance producer license applications and renewals via NIPR and state DOI portals
• Submit, track, and maintain carrier appointments, renewals, and terminations; monitor effective dates to prevent compliance gaps
• Ensure agents meet CMS, Medicare, ACA, and carrier-specific regulatory requirements
• Verify continuing education compliance and proactively monitor renewal deadlines
• Maintain E&O documentation and compliance records
• Order and review background investigations; escalate findings per guidelines
• Conduct routine audits of licensing records to maintain audit-ready documentation
• Coordinate and respond to carrier and regulatory audit requests
• Research multi-state licensing requirements and validate appropriate licensure for active agents
• Serve as primary point of contact for agent licensing inquiries and resolve complex issues independently
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance compliance accuracy and turnaround times
Minimum Qualifications
• 1+ year of direct experience processing health insurance producer licensing and carrier appointments
• Hands-on experience using NIPR and state Department of Insurance portals
• Experience managing resident and non-resident licenses
• Working knowledge of Medicare, ACA, or commercial health insurance compliance requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Document management and shared drive systems
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Medicare-focused agencies, FMO/IMO environments, or health insurance brokerages
• Experience preparing for CMS or carrier audits
• Exposure to process documentation and workflow improvement initiatives
