We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Instrument Technician to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our high-tech equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the calibration, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of various instruments and control systems. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment where precision and problem-solving abilities are paramount.
UNION ROLE
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
2. Install, calibrate, test, and repair various types of equipment such as transmitters, switches, indicators, and guided radar sonar systems.
3. Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and P&ID to ensure proper equipment installation and functionality.
4. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify faulty components, and implement effective solutions.
5. Monitor and adjust the flow, levels, and temperature of equipment to meet production requirements and standards.
6. Work closely with the production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and address any technical issues.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities and equipment statuses.
8. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the Manufacturing industry or a similar role.
2. Proven experience with calibration, schematics, diagrams, transmitters, switches, indicators, and guided radar sonar systems.
3. Proficiency in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
4. Certification as a Control Technician or a similar qualification is required.
5. Strong knowledge of flow, levels, and temperature control in a manufacturing setting.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. A commitment to safety and quality.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
