Position Overview
Banko Overhead Doors is hiring a motivated Garage Door Installer Apprentice to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn professional garage door and opener installation alongside an experienced Lead Installer. No prior garage door experience required but a plus-just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installing garage doors and openers in both new construction and residential homes.
- Learn installation fundamentals and progress through structured apprenticeship training.
- Follow all safety procedures on job sites; help maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Work as part of a two-person installation team.
- Lift and handle materials (70 lbs independently; assist with 90+ lbs).
- Provide excellent customer service to homeowners and builders.
Qualifications
- High attention to detail.
- Construction or mechanical experience preferred (not required).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and physically able to perform job duties.
- Willing to learn and grow within the company.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $22/hr
- Performance reviews at 6 months and 1 year

Training & Advancement
- Certification through Banko University at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year

Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work a full-time schedule
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend down, work in outdoor conditions for extended periods of time
