Aspen Personnel Service has been hired by a well-established manufacturers’ representative firm serving the plumbing, heating, and HVAC industries to help them add a detailed customer focused professional to join their team. The company represents leading manufacturers and works closely with engineers, contractors, wholesalers, and building owners to support commercial projects from design through installation.

They are seeking a motivated Inside Sales & Commercial Estimator to support the outside sales team, develop accurate commercial estimates, and help close profitable projects.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales & Commercial Estimator plays a key role in supporting revenue growth by managing inbound sales activity, preparing commercial bids and submittals, and assisting with project closing efforts. This position requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and effective communication with contractors, engineers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Inside Sales

• Respond to inbound inquiries from contractors, engineers, and wholesalers
• Proactively follow up on quotes, bids, and project opportunities
• Support outside sales representatives with pricing, product selection, and project tracking
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturer partners
• Manage sales opportunities through CRM or internal tracking systems

Commercial Estimating

• Review plans, specifications, and schedules for commercial plumbing, heating, and HVAC projects
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates based on manufacturer pricing and project scope
• Assist with equipment selections and approved alternatives to meet project requirements
• Coordinate pricing approvals and special quotes with manufacturers
• Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing history, and awarded projects

Job Closing & Project Support

• Present quotes and proposals and address technical or pricing questions
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and scope within established guidelines
• Assist in securing purchase orders and confirming awarded projects
• Support project handoff to order entry and operations teams
• Track awarded versus lost projects to support sales forecasting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, estimating, or customer support within the plumbing, heating, or HVAC industry
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and specifications
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM or estimating software experience preferred
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced sales environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience with a manufacturers’ representative firm or HVAC/plumbing distributor
• Familiarity with commercial equipment, fixtures, applied products, and mechanical systems
• Experience working with engineers, contractors, and wholesalers

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $60K -$70K Annually DOE
Bonus: Performance-based bonus tied to sales results, closed projects, and profitability
Paid Time Off: 15 days of PTO plus company holidays
