Inside Building Material Salesperson

Role Snapshot:
We are looking for an Inside Salesperson to join our team! In this role, you will work directly with customers to assist with product selection, provide quotes on building materials, and enter sales and special orders accurately into our system. You'll offer guidance on lumber, hardware, and other building supplies, as well as help customers estimate material lists for their projects.
You'll also coordinate delivery schedules with our yard team, and ensure special order materials are ordered as needed. Building strong relationships with contractor accounts, following up on quotes, and resolving customer concerns will be key parts of your day-to-day responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation. If relocating, must do so prior to start date
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Excel) and POS systems
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast paced, sometimes noisy environment
• Previous sales or customer service experience, ideally in building materials or construction
• Strong knowledge of lumber and related products
• Ability to read blueprints or construction documents is highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Wage Information:
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Commissions paid on sales, Ask us for more details about our commission structure! This position is paid on a weekly basis.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position, ranging between 40-50 hours per week.
Expected work schedule: M-F 7am-5pm No weekends!
