Location: Rusk, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary Range: $290,000 – $350,000

A reputable correctional healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Inpatient Psychiatrist to join its mental health team in Rusk, TX. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient psychiatric evaluations and assessments

• Diagnose and treat serious mental health conditions, including mood, psychotic, and substance use disorders

• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with input from clinical teams

• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications

• Provide crisis intervention and follow-up care

• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation

• Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and behavioral health staff to ensure quality care

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency program

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Active Texas Medical License (or ability to obtain)

• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

• Experience in inpatient psychiatry or correctional mental health preferred

• Comfortable working in a structured correctional healthcare environment
