Qualifications and responsibilities for this Injection Molding Process Technician position include:
- 3+ years of molding process development or optimization experience – Set up, optimize, and maintain molding processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of molding processes (injection, compression, or blow molding) – Troubleshoot molding issues related to part quality, dimensional stability, and cycle time.
- Hands-on experience with process setup and optimization – Develop and maintain process parameters and setup documentation.
- Ability to read mold drawings, part prints, and technical documentation – Support mold trials, first article runs, and new product launches.
- Familiarity with SPC and process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk) – Monitor process performance and recommend improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – Investigate defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams – Work with tooling, maintenance, quality, and engineering to resolve process issues.
- Continuous improvement mindset – Participate in scrap reduction, cost improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
Salary: $25-$30/hr, commensurate with experience.
