Position Summary:

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Information Technology Specialist supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Systems Technology Office (STO). AFRL STO’s mission is to deliver war winning air and space capabilities, to the United States Air Force, though research and development.

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications

  • Provide classified and unclassified network and systems support

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues

  • Manage system configuration, inventory, and licensing compliance

  • Support secure video teleconferencing (VTC) systems

  • Assist with COMSEC account maintenance and self-inspections

  • Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities

  • Enforce Information Assurance and cybersecurity SOPs

  • Provide end-user technical support and ensure timely issue resolution

Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have a minimum Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Education: Associate degree

Years of Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

Certifications: Information Assurance Technical Level II Certification, Security+ Certification

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Clearance: Active Top Secret

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Years of Relevant Experience:
7+ years supporting DoD IT environments

 

Technical Skills

  • Linux systems administration

  • Configuration management processes

  • Secure video teleconferencing (VTC) systems

  • Classified and unclassified network support

  • Hardware diagnostics and system troubleshooting

  • COMSEC account maintenance and inventory procedures

  • Information Assurance policy enforcement

  • Inventory management and software licensing compliance

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Network diagnostics and system performance analysis tools

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently in a secure environment

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate with Government stakeholders and technical teams
