Job Title:Information Technology Intern

This is an onsite assignment in San Antonio.

Summary:

TransPecos Banks is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Information Technology (I.T.) Intern to support our IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and daily technical operations. This internship is ideal for college students, or recent graduates interested in gaining hands‑on experience in areas such as IT support, service desk operations, IT asset management, cybersecurity fundamentals, and enterprise system administration.We are looking for individuals who learn quickly, communicate well, and are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving technology environment.


Wage Type: Hourly


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide first‑level technical support to employees following ITSM best practices (incident/request management).
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures within the IT ticketing system.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding tasks, including account creation, permissions, and device setup.
  • Assist with maintaining IT asset inventory, device imaging, and equipment deployments.
  • Help monitor system alerts and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to IT service delivery, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Work well with others and on their own.
  • Manages their time to complete assignments on time.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a manner consistent with our values and operating principles, in accordance with policy and applicable laws, and with a commitment to commitment to continuous improvement and process excellence.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Organizational Structure:

Reports to: Designated IT Manager or HR


Qualifications:


Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Working toward or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, MacOS), and software applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common user issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
