| • | Enrolled in a local university in a computer science or related field, preferably a junior or senior level. |
| • | Must have successfully trained in a student helper capacity. | |
| • | Working knowledge of the assigned project(s). | |
| • | Good understanding of IT department operations. | |
| • | Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office. |
| • | Ability to exercise good judgment. | |
| • | Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. | |
| • | Ability to effectively communicate with users. | |
| • | Ability to maintain confidentiality. |
| • | Organizes work and completes tasks. | |
| • | Analyzes problems and seeks creative/appropriate solutions. | |
| • | Performs duties specific to the project as assigned by the mentor related to the project or team assigned. | |
| • | Provides required documentation of maintenance and development efforts. | |
| • | Participates in training, both in house and vendor delivered, in support of corporate functions and IT. | |
| • | Solicits assistance from senior staff members in areas that are unfamiliar or require expertise beyond current knowledge level. | |
| • | Displays motivation and willingness to learn in all learning situations. |
