Information Systems Technician

Overview

The Information Systems Technician is responsible for providing support for installation, start-up, troubleshooting or repair of irrigation components and systems. The ideal candidate can perform a variety of mechanical, electrical and programming tasks. Builds electronic and test equipment and other related items.  Provides service in the most cost-efficient manner and has experience with hardware, software, radio and other communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of central control production from ticket creation to shipment
• Ensure data integrity of service orders for timely and accurate billing
• Overly communicate with stakeholders; escalate issues affecting quality or delivery with relevant staff
• Continue to develop knowledge of irrigation concepts, practices, and procedures, especially regarding those relevant to the maintenance, repair, and production of central control equipment

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with computer repair, construction, and maintenance. Experience with other hardware, software, and radio or other communication systems is a plus
• Proven success in environments where attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Demonstrates structured approach to problem solving and adherence to operating procedures
• Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification in soldering or other similar technical certifications are desired, though not required
• Experience with order management tools and platforms
• Experience with process standards; 5S, six sigma, etc.
• Ability to develop, document, and execute repetitive business practices
• Bilingual English/Spanish
