Information System Security Manager (ISSM) - apply the appropriate security measures for successful compliance with the National Industry Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and program security requirements.  This position reports to the Technical Support Manager.

FUNCTION

The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) is responsible for applying the appropriate security measures for successful compliance with the National Industry Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and program security requirements. This position reports to the Facility Security Officer (FSO).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares and conducts security briefings, security program self-assessments, threat/vulnerability assessments, security audits and performs records management for associated documentation.

• Performs records management for classified activities such as document accountability, security clearances, classified meetings, and classified visits.

• Liaison with customer and subcontractor security offices on security related questions.

• Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

• Transmits and receives classified materials via mail or classified network.

• Analyzes RFP, Contracts, and develops security responses and plans as necessary for company compliance.

• Performs as COMSEC Account Custodian for keying material associated with TACLANE.

• Develops, implements, enforces and maintains an Information System (IS) Security Program.

• Obtains and maintains system certification/accreditation.

• Coordinates and supports all internal and external information system audits and reviews.

• Coordinates with production managers when performing hardware/software changes to minimize impact to production.

• Ensures IS User training, clearance levels, special briefings and need-to-know prior to providing IS access.

• Provides technical and hardware support for workstations, servers, and peripherals.

• Conduct Network Administration, including Group Policy Management and Microsoft Windows Operating System and Server installation/configuration.

• Ensures system and data confidentiality, availability and integrity.

• Other duties as assigned.
