Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid LPN or RN license in the state of Nebraska
  • Certifications Requirements: CPR certification, Infection Control certification (preferred), and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as a charge nurse within a long-term care setting, comprehensive infection prevention experience, strong leadership skills
  • Other Requirements: Excellent communication skills, ability to work days, flexibility to handle dual responsibilities, proficiency in EMR systems, physical ability to perform job duties

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive infection prevention strategies and ensure compliance with facility protocols to reduce infection risks.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor and improve infection control practices across the long-term care facility.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infection control activities, audits, and training sessions.
  • Execute daily charge nurse duties, including supervising staff, coordinating patient care, and managing facility operations during shifts.
  • Assist in training and educating staff on infection prevention measures and charge nurse responsibilities to enhance overall facility safety and quality care.
