While prior experience working with children is helpful, it is not required. We will provide full training for the right candidate!

Positions Available:
Infant Caregivers: Provide nurturing care for infants in our loving classroom environment.
Toddler or Twos Teachers: Inspire curiosity and guide the development of our active toddlers.
Caregiver Aides - Assist in one of the Infant or Toddler classrooms and help make a positive impact on our littlest learners. (And learn & grow into a Caregiver role if you choose - we help with training and obtaining your CDA!)

QUALIFICATIONS:
For Aides:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Volunteer work with children &/or experience babysitting/caring for children preferred
Have or be willing to obtain First Aid & CRP/AED Certification (Qualified Training Provided).
No professional experience required; all training is provided for enthusiastic new team members!
For Caregivers (Infant/Toddler Teachers):
High School Diploma or equivalent
12-24 months of experience working with children 2 & under in a licensed center
Training hours in Infant/Toddler Development (We can provide this for you!)
“A day in the life” of a Teacher or Aide may look like this:
Greeting the children and families as they arrive/leave for the day.
Implementing fun activities from our curriculum that focus on the development of young children. (We're so much more than a 'daycare'!)
Snuggling with little ones while singing & reading stories.
Encouraging physical activity while exploring the outdoors with the children.
Enjoying a relaxed meal after an adventurous science activity or creative art experience.
Ensuring that all children are safe, comfortable, secure and well-cared for.
Communicating with families about the children’s experiences that day.
Setting up the classroom for the next day of activities.
Going home with the satisfaction of knowing you made a difference!
Kama’aina Kids can help you qualify for a Teacher or Caregiver role if you’re interested and committed to personal growth. Competitive Pay: $17–$25/hour (based on role and qualifications)
