Program outcomes ( 12 months)

  • Step into a Rubber Value Stream Supervisor / Production Manager role
  • Own safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team leadership
  • Continue on a defined leadership pipeline

What you’ll master

0–3 months: Learn the business from the floor

  • Operate lathes, grinders, and rubber processing equipment
  • Absorb production workflows, standards, and quality expectations
  • Understand scheduling logic, material flow, and customer requirements

3–6 months: Lead people and stabilize performance

  • Act as a floor leader and primary point of contact
  • Assign work, support setups, and troubleshoot issues
  • Model a safety-first culture and ensure conformance to spec
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve problems

6–12 months: Transition to supervision

  • Manage labor, workflow, and daily priorities
  • Coach team members; participate in performance conversations
  • Support continuous improvement—Lean experience not required; we provide training

Must-haves

  • Manufacturing & Machining: Hands-on machine experience (lathes, grinders, similar) OR a 2-year technical degree in machining/manufacturing or related field; practical understanding of the production floor
  • Leadership: Prior lead, trainer, or informal supervisor background; proven ability to give direction, hold others accountable, and communicate clearly
  • Mindset: Floor-first, curious, growth-oriented; strong work ethic and professionalism; comfortable leading shoulder-to-shoulder with operators
