Nucor Corporation is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Norfolk, NE (Onsite, Full-Time). This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of existing equipment, and installation and startup of new industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment. The top three requirements for this position are at least two years of industrial maintenance experience (or a degree in electromechanical, mechatronics, or related field), the ability to work rotating shifts with overtime, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience and/or degree in electromechanical, mechatronics, or related field
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
• Ability to work in extreme temperature environments
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety practices, policies, and procedures
• Mechanical experience or training preferred
• Machining experience or training preferred
• Hydraulics experience or training preferred
• Automation programming and troubleshooting experience preferred

 

Job Duties:
• Perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
• Install, fabricate, and assist with startup of new equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with operations teams to minimize downtime
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures and housekeeping standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility
