Volt is immediately hiring a Industrial Electrician in Mabank, Texas.
As an Industrial Electrician, you will:
- Install electrical wiring, fixtures, conduit, equipment, and systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Assemble, test, maintain, and repair electrical components and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and perform corrective repairs.
- Perform system upgrades to meet current safety and efficiency standards.
- Read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job requirements.
- Safely operate tools, instruments, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and work on roofs and elevated surfaces.
- Troubleshoot PLC controlled systems.
- Program and diagnose Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Conduct point of work risk assessments and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash safety procedures.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs.
- Maintain compliance with building, electrical, and safety codes at all times.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance to ensure work meets specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors, tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Maintain documentation, records, and work orders in the CMMS system.
- Assist and support other team members during installation and repair tasks.
- Provide training or direction to workers performing electrical work.
This is a long-term temp, possible temp to hire role.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 5am – 130pm plus overtime. This is a full-time onsite position at the Mabank facility.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman Electrician certification (required).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
- Ability to work effectively with team members, and contractors.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Demonstrated attention to safety and strong time management skills.
- Skilled in the safe and efficient use of electrical tools and equipment.
- Must maintain all applicable electrical licenses.
- 5+ years of experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
- Associate degree or completion of technical training in electrical systems.
- Knowledgeable in PLC troubleshooting and VFD programming (strongly preferred).
- Experience working with CMMS systems.
Pay Rate: $32.00 – 35.00 Per Hour
