Overview:
The In-House Technician Level 1 is responsible for performing entry-level technical work across diagnostic imaging systems, including X-ray and MRI. This role focuses on equipment harvesting, basic component testing, and supporting repair and installation activities under supervision. The technician will follow established procedures while gaining hands-on experience with system components, electronics, and imaging equipment in a safety-focused environment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform equipment harvesting and disassembly of X-ray and MRI system components following established procedures
- Identify, remove, and handle components such as wiring, connectors, and basic electronic assemblies
- Conduct basic component testing using approved diagnostic tools and instructions
- Assist with repair, refurbishment, and reassembly of imaging system components
- Support system installation activities and preparation of equipment for testing or shipment
- Follow service manuals, schematics, and internal procedures accurately
- Document work performed and record test results as required
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and a clean, organized work environment
- Adhere to all electrical, mechanical, and workplace safety protocols
- Escalate technical issues beyond scope to senior technicians or the Modality Lead
Education & Experience:
- 0–2 years of technical, mechanical, or imaging-related experience
- Basic understanding of electronics or electromechanical systems
- Ability to follow written technical instructions and schematics
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction
