Job Details

Core Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction‑related agreements, including subcontractor agreements, prime contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and professional service contracts
  • Advise project teams on risk mitigation, contract compliance, claims strategy, and dispute avoidance
  • Support the development and refinement of contract templates, policies, and internal legal workflows
  • Provide guidance regarding regulatory requirements, licensing, employment matters, insurance issues, and general corporate governance
  • Coordinate with outside counsel as needed for litigation, claims, or specialized legal issues
  • Conduct training sessions on contract management and legal best practices for internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership
  • 5+ years of legal experience, preferably with a strong focus on construction law, commercial contracting, or related transactional work
  • Extensive experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating construction contracts (this is essential)
  • Solid understanding of construction industry processes, project delivery methods, and risk management principles
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance for non‑legal team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach suited to working with field teams, executives, and external partners
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment
