Join our dynamic team as an Import Operations Supervisor, where you will lead and coordinate all aspects of import logistics to ensure seamless flow of goods from international suppliers to our warehouse. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily import activities, optimize warehouse operations, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment. - Supervise and coordinate the entire import process, including shipping & receiving, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
- Oversee warehouse management system (WMS) operations to ensure accurate inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Manage warehouse distribution activities such as stocking, order picking & packing, and load & unload procedures using equipment like reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff in order fulfillment, order picking, packaging, and stock replenishment to meet daily operational targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to forklift operation, reach truck handling, and general warehouse safety standards.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments using systems like AS400 and MRP software for inventory control and reporting.
- 5-7 years of NVOCC experience or Freight Forwarding
- Proven experience in warehouse management system (WMS), shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution operations.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of import procedures including customs documentation and freight forwarding processes.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes such as picking & packing, order picking, and stock management in an e-commerce environment.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Experience working with AS400 systems or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms like MRP is preferred.
