Position Overview

The CNA supports nursing staff by providing direct patient care and assisting with daily living activities. This role is essential in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being while maintaining a high standard of care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
  • Monitor and record vital signs, height, weight, and other patient data
  • Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Assist with nutrition by serving meals and documenting intake
  • Maintain clean and safe patient environments
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN
  • Collect and transport specimens following proper procedures
  • Assist with patient positioning, ambulation, and comfort measures
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
