Art Department Assistant - Seasonal (Starts April)

About the Role

We are seeking a creative, motivated Art Department Assistant to join our team for the upcoming season. This position supports our talented Art Department in delivering both large- and small‑scale projects that maintain the immersive, magical environment of our park. Our ideal candidate is hands-on, artistic, and excited to play a role in preserving the charm and beauty of our attractions.

Key Responsibilities

• Graphic design and sign creation
• Painting and studio art work
• Assist with sculpting, carving, and work with 3D forms (including fiberglass)
• Operate and maintain a large‑scale vinyl printer
• Support upkeep of our historic Storybook Lane
• Collaborate with the Art Department and Director of Marketing to design and develop park signage
• Prioritize and complete multiple art projects in a timely manner
• Perform various tasks supporting smooth business operations
• Physical work including standing, walking, bending throughout the day
• Use ladders, condor machines, and power tools such as drills and jigsaws (as required)

Education, Experience & Core Competencies

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with vinyl printing and application
• Strong commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proactive problem‑solver who anticipates needs and finds solutions
• Energetic, flexible, and able to adapt to changing needs
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Willingness to work additional hours when required
