Hydrovac Truck Driver / Operator

Location: Jackson, MI (work throughout Michigan)

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate hydrovac equipment to expose underground utilities (gas, water, electric, sanitary, telecom)
• Inspect, maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on equipment
• Mobilize and haul/tow hydrovac equipment to and from job sites
• Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE
• Complete timesheets and other required paperwork accurately and on time
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Support the team with additional duties as needed
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Prior hydro excavation experience preferred
• Heavy equipment operation experience required
• Mechanically inclined (in-field training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing job assignments
• Willing to work overtime, especially during peak season
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Physically capable of performing the demands of hydrovac excavation
• Comfortable getting dirty and working in active construction environments
