Our client, a leading organization in facility management and technical services, is seeking a dedicated HVAC Operating Engineer to join their team. As an HVAC Operating Engineer, you will be an integral part of the maintenance department supporting critical laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: HVAC Operating Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
Pay: $31-$33/hr.
Shift: Monday to Friday - 7 am to 4 pm

What's the Job?

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, with a focus on chiller support for a critical lab environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and calibrations to ensure optimal performance of mechanical and control systems.
  • Monitor system readings, record data, and make adjustments to maintain equipment efficiency and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, oversee quality and pricing of maintenance work, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building HVAC systems, especially chillers.
  • Strong HVAC background with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
