Human Resources Manager

We are a growing contracting company seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage all HR functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable building processes, supporting a diverse workforce, and partnering closely with leadership as the company grows.

The HR Manager will handle day-to-day HR operations while helping establish policies and practices that support a productive, compliant, and positive workplace.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all core HR functions including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding

  • Support recruiting efforts for field and office staff

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation

  • Administer benefits, payroll coordination, and workers’ compensation processes

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Develop and update HR policies, employee handbook, and procedures

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns

  • Support performance management, reviews, and disciplinary processes

  • Coordinate training, certifications, and compliance requirements

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and company growth initiatives


Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of HR experience, preferably in construction or a related industry

  • Working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance

  • Experience supporting both field and office employees

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-growing company environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
