As our Human Resources Manager, you will lead all aspects of the HR function in close collaboration with the Assistant Director, serving as both a leader and a trusted partner across the organization. You'll be a key driver of Human Resources initiatives that support our mission and values. - You manage the Recruitment & Hiring processes to include sourcing, interviewing, conducting background checks and onboarding qualified candidates in collaboration with managers to support their hiring needs.
- You take the lead on Compliance training to include assigning, tracking, and reviewing status of mandatory trainings.
- You understand the importance of a strong compensation package and manage the compensation and benefit programs to ensure we are competitive and legal. You assist in the research and recommendations on Market Benchmarking, pay equity, compliance, Benefits packages and total compensation packages of employees.
- You are a genius at recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining a diverse and brilliant group of HR employees.
- You oversee the HR Generalist that conducts the bi-weekly payroll process for the organization. You will review the payroll to ensure accuracy, reviewing the timekeeping systems, and ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked, PTO, and leave balances.
- You are a wizard at HRIS software, responsible for core HR functions such as benefit administration, leave management, performance management, and applicant tracking.
- You are a champion for wellness, coordinating District wellness initiatives that promote employee health, well-being, and work-life balance.
- You are a collaborator, working with the DEIB and Community Engagement Department on initiatives to support the diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives in our District.
- You are creative and have a knack for engaging people. You believe creating moments for people to come together makes for a stronger team.
- You are a trusted and confidential resource, participating in conflict resolution, disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent processes.

- You are the explorer of policy compliance ensuring the organizational adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws. Regularly reviews policies to maintain compliance with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
- You are an innovator, staying current on emerging HR trends, technologies and legal developments.
- You support the performance of the District by overseeing the onboarding process, new hire reviews, the annual review process for the District, and performance improvement plans as they aligns with our company values and competencies.

- You understand employees have different ways they like to be recognized. You develop Rewards & Recognition programs to support managers in recognizing their diverse teams.

Do you have what it takes?
- You have 5+ years of human resources experience.
- You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Organizational Development, Business Administration or Human Resource Management.
- You have strong knowledge and skills in HRIS/Payroll systems administration, Paylocity experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of the facets of Human Resources department to include, Recruitment & Staffing, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Rewards & Recognition, and Compliance & Safety.
- Computer literacy with MS Office proficiency preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, adapt flexibly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines within a high-speed environment.
