Human Resources Generalist

Beacon Hill has partnered with a growing hospital system in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago in hiring an HR Generalist to start immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make an immediate impact, focus on process improvements for the organization and help with the hospital branding from an HR perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Support day‑to‑day HR operations for the hospital
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and leaders on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires, including credentialing, background checks, and health screenings
- Administer employee life cycle processes including hires, transfers, promotions, leaves, and terminations
- Process and maintain HR transactions accurately in HRIS systems
- Partner with managers on performance management, corrective actions, and coaching
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations
- Maintain confidential employee records and ensure accuracy of personnel files
- Assist with policy development, training initiatives, and employee engagement programs
- Support audits, accreditation reviews, and regulatory reporting as needed
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of human resources experience, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices
- Experience working with HRIS systems and maintaining accurate employee records
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support employees at all levels
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
