Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing training and support to new and current Executive Directors /management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Present various HR Trainings to HR Team and Nationwide Management & ED Team
- Conduct HR investigations, make recommendations for action, and conduct follow-up to ensure implementation
- Manage employee relations for assigned region
- Review and approve terminations and disciplinary action as needed
- Develop current knowledge and understanding of operational DSP and management staffing needs including DSP vacancies and recruitment/hiring needs
- Partner with EDs and national recruitment team to develop and maintain current recruitment and hiring plan
- Possess thorough knowledge of National OT Reduction Plan and work closely with EDs to ensure identified OT objectives are met
- Present and take positive action to support ED implementation of positive employee retention strategies
- Deliver strategic advice and consultation to EDs/leadership regarding DSP scheduling/onboarding, personnel file compliance, and required trainings
- Lead/conduct HR file audits to ensure compliance with laws/compliance
- Lead/conduct special projects and ensure adherence to scheduled deadlines
- Represent the company as needed at unemployment hearings and maintains a 90%+ win rate
- Ensure that talent/performance management objectives are met including: 90-day reviews, annual reviews, PIP Implementation, etc.
- Has full knowledge of UltiPro and ability to enter, onboard, run reports, and analyze data
- Supervise assigned HR Coordinator and other assigned HR support staff
- Partner with Director of HR/CHRO when preparing EEO, DOL, and other claims/responses and leads and prepares responses as needed
- Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of five years of equivalent experience, preferably at least one year in a management role
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must maintain confidentiality and sensitivity with regard to all employment matters
- Demonstrate knowledge of state and federal employment laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Display excellent time management skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees and the general public
