Description: Our client is currently seeking a Human Resource Assistant/ Advisor

Tier 1 HR Advisor

About the Role

The Tier 1 HR Advisor is the first point of contact for employees and managers seeking support with HR policies, processes, and systems. This role provides timely, accurate, and courteous service across multiple communication channels, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Process day-to-day HR transactions in Workday and other HR systems.

Handle a high volume of calls, chats, and messages in a service center environment.

Respond to employee and manager inquiries using knowledge bases and desktop tools.

Provide guidance on HR systems such as Workday and Kronos.

Document all interactions thoroughly in the case management system.

Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 specialists or HR Service Center leadership.

Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with laws and company policies.

Identify trends, escalate recurring issues, and recommend process improvements.

Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to improve communication and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Understanding of cross-functional processes and a focus on process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

HR certifications (IHRIM, SHRM).

1–2 years of experience in HR operations or a call center environment.

Familiarity with Workday, case management systems, and HR portal technology.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Six Sigma certification.
