Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in HR and payroll administration
Hands‑on experience processing payroll using Paycom (required)
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and employment laws
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset
Preferred
Experience supporting multi‑state payroll
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments
HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP)

Payroll Administration
Process bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on time using Paycom for exempt and non‑exempt employees
Maintain payroll records, earnings, deductions, benefits deductions, and garnishments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audits
Manage payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation updates
Support year‑end payroll activities, including W‑2 processing and audits
Human Resources Operations
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates in Paycom
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HRIS and payroll systems
Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications in coordination with vendors
Support leave administration (PTO, sick leave, FMLA, and other applicable programs)
Compliance & Reporting
Assist with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
Ensure HR and payroll practices align with company policies and employment laws
Support internal audits and data reviews related to payroll and HR records
Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity at all times
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Identify opportunities to improve payroll and HR workflows for efficiency and accuracy
Partner with HR leadership on policy updates, employee communications, and HR initiatives
Support HR projects such as performance cycles, training coordination, or employee engagement efforts
We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented HR & Payroll Specialist to support our growing organization. This role is responsible for the accurate and compliant execution of payroll using Paycom, while also providing hands‑on HR support across the employee lifecycle.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their work, values confidentiality, and enjoys partnering with employees, managers, and Finance to keep HR and payroll operations running smoothly.
Hands‑on experience using Paycom is required, as this role will independently manage payroll processing and HR system transactions.
