Are you a strategic HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making a real impact across an organization? We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a growing workforce of over 550 employees across multiple states. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with leadership, drive HR initiatives, and help shape a strong and engaged workplace culture.
In this role, you will oversee a team of HR professionals while supporting business objectives through effective people strategies, compliance initiatives, and talent development programs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving processes, and partnering with management to create a high-performing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all HR operations supporting a multi-state workforce of 550+ employees
- Supervise and mentor a team of three HR professionals, fostering growth and development
- Evaluate and improve HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness
- Partner with leadership to support DOT/FMCSA compliance, workplace safety, and regulatory standards
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Develop and implement HR strategies that enhance organizational performance and employee experience
- Create and manage compensation structures and provide market-based recommendations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Lead employee relations initiatives including investigations, conflict resolution, and engagement strategies
- Develop and track HR KPIs and metrics to measure department effectiveness
- Oversee employee development programs that drive growth, retention, and leadership capability
- Travel to company locations as needed to support HR operations
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive HR management experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, HR best practices, and HRIS systems
- Experience with Dayforce HR/Payroll is a plus
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing HR teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR technology platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
