The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as health and safety regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to foster a productive and safe work environment.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems for all manufacturing employees.
  • Lead training and development initiatives, focusing on skill enhancement, safety compliance, and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning for key manufacturing roles.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Strong ability to recruit and retain skilled talent for production and operational roles.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that support operational efficiency and safety.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven experience with OSHA compliance and managing plant-specific safety programs.
  • Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization in a multi-shift manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish, to support a diverse workforce.
