The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention for production, technical, and administrative roles.
  • Ensures HR policies and practices comply with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Oversees employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures for a diverse manufacturing workforce.
  • Develops and implements training programs focused on safety, technical skills, quality, and leadership development for plant personnel.
  • Administers compensation and benefits programs, including payroll inputs, performance incentives, and shift differentials.
  • Drives performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans for all manufacturing staff.
  • Partners with plant leadership to address workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management for a diverse manufacturing workforce.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA regulations and their application in a production setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies for skilled trades, production, and technical roles.
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and programs that support operational efficiency and a strong safety culture.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing-specific HRIS modules or timekeeping systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR for multi-shift operations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety program support.
