Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures compliant with labor laws and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity within the manufacturing sector.
  • Facilitate performance management processes to drive productivity and employee development across all plant operations.
  • Lead training initiatives, focusing on safety, technical skills, and leadership development for plant personnel.
  • Analyze HR metrics, such as turnover and absenteeism, to develop strategies for workforce retention and engagement.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR professional within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of all HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA) and their practical application in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining a diverse workforce, including production, skilled trades, and technical roles.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and programs.
  • Experience with HRIS systems tailored for shift work, timekeeping, and production environments.
