Overview
We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Summer Intern for a 10-week (Monday-Friday 24–40 hours per week) internship designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple HR functions. The intern will support projects across the HR team while gaining exposure to areas such as Employee Experience and Well-Being
Key Responsibilities
• Assist HR team members with projects and day-to-day initiatives across HR functions.
• Help with HR program research, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to employee engagement, well-being and culture-related projects.
Example of special projects:
Support the development of wellness initiatives, such as, employees returning from maternity leave, including research and recommendations for lactation rooms, workplace resources, and support programs across campuses. Another example, Code Lavender.
Position Summary:
As an HR Intern at Hebrew SeniorLife, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives. You will work closely with the HR team to ensure the smooth operation of processes and contribute to the overall success of the department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in human resources within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct data cleaning and transformation tasks to ensure data quality, including but not limited to employee records, performance metrics, and survey results.
- Contribute to the creation of PowerPoint presentations (PPTs) and reports for stakeholders, summarizing key HR data and findings.
- Assist with process documentation for pre-survey work, including organizing data breakouts and preparing necessary documentation for surveys and assessments.
- Create dashboards in Smartsheets to visualize HR data and track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
- Provide assistance with front desk coverage as needed, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to HR processes and protocols.
- Support in preparing materials for leaders, including gathering data, formatting documents, and ensuring accuracy and completeness for presentations and meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of HR.
- Prior experience or coursework in HR or data analytics is preferred but not required.
