Our HR Generalist will be a key player in employee relations, HR compliance, benefits administration, performance management, onboarding, policy interpretation and implementation, and other HR initiatives. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
2. Oversee employee benefits program and handle all related inquiries.
3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
4. Handle employee relations matters and provide appropriate guidance and recommendations to management.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
6. Manage performance appraisal system and provide coaching for performance improvement.
7. Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
8. Maintain HR records in accordance with laws and company policies.
9. Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in the Nonprofit Industry.
3. Knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices.
4. Experience in a nonprofit or highly regulated environment is a plus.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
7. Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
9. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
10. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
