Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard production, skilled trades, and administrative personnel.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures specific to a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Administer performance management processes, providing coaching and support to managers and employees on goal setting and evaluations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs, including safety, compliance, and skills training for manufacturing staff.
  • Support compensation and benefits administration, including payroll processing and open enrollment assistance.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and collaborate with operations on safety initiatives and investigations.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA regulations relevant to manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and HR technology for data management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and promote a safety-first culture within a production environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with OSHA compliance and safety program administration.
  • Prior experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, including grievance handling.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or other languages relevant to the local workforce.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
