The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
  • Ensure HR policy and labor law compliance, with a strong focus on safety regulations specific to manufacturing operations.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims and actively support site safety programs and initiatives.
  • Support managers in performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective action for the production workforce.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and development initiatives, particularly for safety, compliance, and operational skills.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and manage the HRIS for all employee data, supporting payroll and benefits administration.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and HR data management.
  • Experience administering workers' compensation claims and supporting workplace safety programs.
  • Demonstrated skill in full-cycle recruitment for diverse roles, including production and skilled trades.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting OSHA compliance and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or operational excellence methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another language prevalent in the local manufacturing workforce.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment or with labor relations.
