The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions within the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA, and company HR policies relevant to plant operations.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims, promote plant safety initiatives, and manage related documentation.
  • Support performance management processes, including reviews, goal setting, and development plans for manufacturing employees.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs focused on safety, compliance, and skills development for plant personnel.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and manage HRIS data for all site employees.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management for a diverse workforce.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and technical roles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to a robust safety culture.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, as commonly found in manufacturing)
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
  • Experience with unionized workforces or labor relations
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodology
