Position Overview
The HR Benefits Administrator will primarily focus on benefits administration, employee support, and general HR coordination. This role requires someone who can quickly learn systems, navigate multiple vendors, and confidently communicate with employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions
- Support administration of medical, dental, vision, and other benefit programs
- Assist with leave administration including FMLA, state leave, and disability coordination
- Navigate multiple vendor systems to research and resolve employee inquiries
- Track employee leave timelines and assist with return-to-work coordination
- Support workers’ compensation reporting and documentation
- Assist with HR administrative tasks such as onboarding support and internal processes
- Help facilitate programs such as tuition reimbursement
- Maintain accurate records and documentation across HR systems
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits administration
- Strong understanding of employment law, benefits, and leave policies
- Experience working with multiple benefit vendors and systems
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (experience with systems like Paylocity or similar is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
