Our client is seeking an exceptional hospitality professional - ideally you are a former Chief Stew, Purser, Butler, or luxury service leader - to join their domestic team.
This role is perfect for someone who excels at high-touch service, team leadership, and household administration, while still being comfortable stepping into hands-on tasks when needed.
This position is not a traditional role. Instead, it is best suited for a candidate experienced in managing service operations, maintaining inventories, coordinating household flow, and elevating the guest experience with grace and polish.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the household team, promoting professionalism, strong communication, and consistent five-star service; report to the Director of Residences.
- Manage household inventories—wine, pantry, linens, supplies—and maintain digital logs via spreadsheets or apps.
- Provide elevated table service, for daily meals, guests, and events.
- Ensure household readiness each day, completing light housekeeping in service areas as needed and supporting the cleaning team with oversight and quality control.
- Assist with wardrobe management, packing/unpacking, and organization during family travel or seasonal transitions.
- Conduct walkthroughs to maintain a consistent standard of order, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout the home.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Residences, providing administrative support, scheduling follow-ups, and communicating clearly with the broader team.
- Participate in event execution, from setup through service and breakdown.
- Maintain discretion and professionalism in a dynamic household environment.
- Prepare and serve cocktails and wine, training available.
Qualifications
- Prior verifiable experience in a luxury service environment such as a yacht (Chief Stew or Purser), five-star hotel/resort, private estate, fine dining restaurant, or airline service leadership.
- Strong administrative and tech skills, able to manage apps, spreadsheets, and digital inventory tools with ease.
- Excellent leadership abilities, with a collaborative “team-first” mindset and the ability to set high standards while remaining hands-on.
- Exceptional attention to detail, situational awareness, and organizational skills.
- Professional, polished appearance and an unflappable, service-oriented demeanor.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion.
- Prior cocktail, wine, and beverage service a big plus.
Schedule
- Generally, Saturday to Wednesday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with the necessary flexibility to work additional hours, based on the principals' schedule and events
- Thursdays and Fridays off.
- When the principals travel, you may switch to a Monday to Friday schedule if you prefer.
Salary and Benefits
- Excellent salary of $60-$65/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
- Overtime paid for hours beyond a 40-hour work week
