About Our Family:

We are a busy, loving family of three living in Evansville, IN, led by one parent and powered by the energy of two young kids. Our daughter (7) and son (4) keep the house lively and full of fun. The youngest has food allergies and is on a treatment protocol. Allergy safe meal prep and managing scheduled allergy exposures have become a significant part of our daily routine.

As a family, we are looking for a trusted partner who can support us with daily tasks—specifically meal prep and managing the allergy exposure regimen—so that we can focus more on spending intentional (and fun!) time together as a family. While we've been managing things on our own, we are looking for someone who can bring a steady, organized presence to help us navigate the morning chaos and assist with household responsibilities.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For:

You are an organized, proactive, and warm individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. You understand the importance of maintaining a safe home for a child with food allergies and are capable of learning and following the necessary protocols to ensure his safety. You are also able to assess situations and know when to step in to help mom with the kids without being asked, and when to focus on household tasks to keep things running smoothly.

We value someone who:

  • Takes food allergies seriously and is willing to learn the specific protocols for our son's treatment plan.
  • Is detail-oriented and capable of handling daily prep for a food allergy treatment program.
  • Has a warm, friendly demeanor, and is able to engage with the kids and help create a positive environment while keeping things running smoothly.
  • Is calm under pressure and capable of handling chaotic mornings with a mix of kids' needs and food management.
  • Can work independently, maintaining a system for managing groceries, food prep, laundry, and general household tidiness.
  • Has a proactive mindset, willing to pitch in wherever necessary, whether that's in meal planning, childcare, or organizing daily tasks.
  • Highly reliable—we are looking for someone who is consistent and dependable.

If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Household Management & Organization:

  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys) with a focus on allergy safety and practicality
  • Reset and tidy main areas daily, including unloading the dishwasher, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas
  • Prepare home for bi-weekly cleaning services
  • Own the organization and upkeep of the mudroom and play areas (living room and basement), keeping these areas free of clutter and usable for the family
  • Conduct seasonal swaps for clothing, décor, and bedding as needed
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Serve as a point of contact at the home for service providers/vendors
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping on an as-needed basis

Meal Preparation & Food Allergy Support:

  • Prepare specific foods for son's allergy treatment exposure plan
  • Manage allergy exposure foods each morning, focusing on guiding four-year-old through process of consuming all required treatment foods

  • Clean kitchen post-prep and maintain kitchen organization

Laundry & Linen Care:

  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry on a consistent schedule
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
