Location: Chesapeake, VA 23323

Employment Type: Part-time (15–20 hours/week)

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Approximately 15-20 hours per week, spread across three days (~5 hours per day).
Primary days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with Thursday occasionally substituting for Friday depending on the week.
Hours are flexible within the daytime.

Compensation: $25–30/hour, based on experience

Requirements:

  • Can maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided for errands completing during work hours)
  • Comfortable working with young children (ages 6, 3, 2, and 7 weeks) and dogs (2 cockapoos)

About the Family:

We are a vibrant, fun-loving family of six (ages, 6, 3, 2, and 7 weeks) based in Chesapeake, VA, who place a strong emphasis on quality time, kindness, and creating a warm, nurturing environment. Both parents have fulfilling, yet demanding full-time careers and are also owners of a local business just a short distance from home.

With a busy schedule that includes managing our careers and business, along with caring for our young children, we are constantly juggling multiple responsibilities. Despite the hectic pace, we firmly believe in prioritizing meaningful time together, whether it's enjoying meals as a family, engaging in playtime, or simply unwinding after a long day. We cherish the moments we share and want to make sure that our home remains a place where everyone feels comfortable and cared for.

That's where our need for a reliable, compassionate House Manager & Family Assistant comes in. We are looking for someone who can help streamline our day-to-day life, bringing both structure and flexibility to our routines. Your support will be invaluable in keeping our home organized, managing meal planning, assisting with our children's routines, and handling daily logistics. We want someone who is not only efficient but also genuinely enjoys contributing to a family environment that values kindness, respect, and a sense of joy. By helping us stay organized and on top of our busy lives, you'll make it easier for us to focus on what truly matters—spending time together as a family.

Who You Are/What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and has the ability to stay on track and on task in a busy household. The ideal candidate will be patient, with the ability to foresee needs before they arise, and will thrive in an environment where attention to detail is key. We're looking for someone who enjoys smiling and can bring a friendly, positive energy into our home while remaining professional.

The ideal candidate will have experience with young children (ages 6 and under) and will be able to engage with kids in a bubbly and energetic way, matching their enthusiasm, but with the patience to support their needs and routines. This role requires someone who enjoys helping others and is proactive in anticipating the needs of both the children and the household, without needing constant direction.

The role also offers an opportunity for growth, with the chance to increase hours and responsibilities as our family continues to grow. While the role begins with 3 days per week, the right person will have the ability to take on more as our family's needs evolve.

If you are someone who thrives in a family-focused, high-energy environment and loves the opportunity to support and grow with a warm, dynamic family, we'd love to hear from you!
